Adam Scott Clifford

...is an energetic pianist, violinist, and composer, striving to share his passion and enthusiasm with his students and with audiences alike: particularly with those otherwise unfamiliar or unengaged. Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Adam relocated to Hoboken, NJ in March of 2018 and founded Keys & Company School of Music. Keys & Co.'s grand opening in December 2018 included a masterclass and recital with pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine in Keys & Co.'s first and inaugural House Concert, officially launching the school's salon-style, in-house concert series in Hoboken.

Adam’s diverse musical background extends beyond performance and pedagogy into music production and recording, composition, and piano restoration. In December of 2016, Adam made his Carnegie Hall Debut in the Weill Recital Hall and, in June of 2017, attended the Miami Summer Music Festival’s Piano Institute, returning to the same festival the following year. In 2015, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra commissioned Adam to break in the Orchestra’s new Steinway Model D piano, which he housed in his studio in Virginia for a year.

Adam served as assistant concertmaster of the Virginia Beach Chamber Orchestra from 2009 to 2013, and as principal second violin of the same ensemble for two years prior. Since August of 2017, Adam has worked extensively and exclusively on the score & soundtrack for a film that, set to be released in early 2019, addresses racial tensions and police brutality in the U. S.

Currently, Adam studies piano with Alexandre Moutouzkine, having studied previously with Andre-Michel Schub (piano) and Dora Marshall Mullins (violin). Adam enjoys spending time outdoors with his two Jack-Russell Terriers, Howie and Clara.
